Jemma Regan-Cummins joins from YTL group
In line with its continued growth, Blackfinch Group has expanded its legal team with Jemma Regan-Cummins joining as Legal Counsel. Jemma joins the team after spending three years at Wessex Water, part of YTL Group.
Jemma’s extensive experience in property construction law is expected to greatly enhance Blackfinch Property’s in-house legal team, helping to advise on legal construction matters including JCT contracts, collateral warranties, sub-contracts and consultants ‘appointments. This may also help Blackfinch’s borrowers in their own negotiations with main contractors and speed up transaction time, reducing the need to rely on external advisors. Jemma will increase the capacity of an in-house legal team of six, which serves the whole of Blackfinch Group and includes a finance lawyer and a property lawyer.
Jemma has 10 years’ experience in construction law and qualified as a Solicitor after studying law at The College of Law, London and BPP Law School. Before joining Wessex Water via YTL Group, Jemma was a solicitor for Capita’s Real Estate and Infrastructure function. She has also held Senior Associate and Associate Construction Lawyer roles in private practice. Jemma studied Politics at Newcastle University.

Jemma’s appointment follows the recent hire of Laith Badar, who joined Blackfinch as a paralegal after working in the Finance & Commercial Department of law firm Walker Morris.
